Oracle Database 10.2, 11.x, 12.x, and 18c are available as a media or FTP request for those customers who own a valid Oracle Database product license for any edition. To request access to these releases, follow the instructions in Oracle Support Document 1071023.1 (Requesting Physical Shipment or Download URL for Software Media) from My Oracle Support. NOTE: for Oracle Database 10.2, you should request 10.2.0.1 even if you want to install a later patch set. Once you install 10.2.0.1 you can then apply any 10.2 patch set. Similarly, for 11.1 request 11.1.0.6 which must be applied before installing 11.1.0.7. Patch sets can be downloaded from the Patches and Updates tab on My Oracle Support.

You can buy products with full-use licenses at any time from the online Store or from your sales representative.

Before you download any Oracle Forms and Reports software, review your existing environment and determine your specific operating system versions, including whether you are using 32-bit or 64-bit systems.

If you have purchased an Oracle software license, and you want to download software under the terms of that license, or if you want to download Oracle software under the terms of the Oracle Electronic Delivery Trial License then go to Oracle Software Delivery Cloud:

For installations on any supported platform, use wls1036_generic.jar. Note that you must download and install a supported JDK on your system before attempting to run this installer. Refer to My Oracle Support document ID 1506916.1.

Use an Oracle WebLogic Server upgrade installer. To locate the proper upgrade installer for your system, refer to Table 3. To install Oracle WebLogic Server on a 64-bit system, download the generic installer.

Oracle Database offers market-leading performance, scalability, reliability, and security, both on-premises and in the cloud. Oracle Database 19c is the current long term release, and it provides the highest level of release stability and longest time-frame for support and bug fixes.Oracle Database 21c, also available for production use today as an innovation release, provides an early insight into the many enhancements and new capabilities. These include autonomous administration, improved multimodel support through in-database Javascript and native blockchain tables, and multiworkload improvements such as AutoML and sharding enhancements that will be incorporated into future long term releases. Autonomously managed Oracle Databases

Developers can quickly create scalable, high-performance applications using SQL, JSON, XML, and a range of procedural languages. Oracle Database 19c offers a range of built-in development tools, such as APEX, and converged database capabilities.

Oracle Database 19c includes built-in capabilities and options, including Oracle Active Data Guard and Oracle Real Application Clusters, that enable efficient, scaling and consolidation of customer databases. IT teams use the same capabilities on-premises and in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to run protect crucial customer databases and maximize their availability.

Oracle Database accelerates machine learning (ML) with powerful algorithms that run inside the database so customers can build and run ML models without having to move or reformat data. Data scientists leverage Python, R, SQL, and other tools to integrate ML capabilities into database applications and deliver analytics results in easy-to-use dashboards.

Increase enterprise-wide database performance and availability with consistent management processes via a single-pane-of-glass management dashboard. DBAs reduce their workloads by consolidating the monitoring and management of databases running on premises, in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and in third-party clouds with Oracle database management solutions.

Upgrade to the latest Oracle Database technology to benefit from market-leading performance, availability, and security. Migrate your database to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to combine low cost with high performance.

Run analytics in seconds, to deploy or move existing data marts, data lakes, and data warehouses to the cloud. Build high-performance, mission-critical databases and run mixed workloads with millions of transactions per second.

This archive. will work on a 32 or 64 bit Windows OS. The bit level of the JDK you install will determine if it runs as a 32 or 64 bit application. This download does not include the required Oracle Java JDK. You will need to install it if it's not already on your machine. We officially support Oracle JDK 11.

I did a search from the Instant Client download page, for win64_11gR2_client.zip and found page which Oracle Database 11g Release 2 for Microsoft Windows (x64) , which includes a reference to "Oracle Database 11g Release 2 Client (11.2.0.1.0) for Microsoft Windows (x64)", which download file is win64_11gR2_client.zip.

Because it is a regular Oracle Database, XE provides compatibility with other Oracle Database editions. If you outgrow Oracle Database XE, you can easily move to another edition of Oracle Database on-premises or Oracle Cloud and get unlimited resources, 24x7 customer support, and regular patches. You can also move to Oracle Autonomous Database in the Oracle Cloud Always Free Tier and let Oracle manage your database. Oracle provides numerous data movement tools to make migrating Oracle Database XE easy.

The first step to getting Oracle on your Mac is to download a program called VirtualBox. This program allows you to run virtual machines, which are self-contained operating systems. It will let you run a Windows or Linux operating system inside your Mac.

Hello Dipika, i encountered this error as well. I am running 19c. When you start your oracle database on the virtual machine, it gives you some database information. Please check to see what those credentials are, they may be different from what was used above. Check specifically for these:

What is throwing me off is your example to test using SQL and using the hr username and oracle password, is this simply a sample database? How do I set up my own database on my Mac to do my coursework?

Would it be possible to create a step by step guide on installing oracle directly on ubuntu (since running on vm is a bit slow if your machine is a bit obsolete)? There are a few articles on the internet but I failed each time I tried implementing the process.

Go to the database directory in the first disk and then execute setup.exe. Do not forget to execute as Administrator, right clicking in the setup icon and selecting Run as administrator.

As we all know Oracle database is the most popular and widely used Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) in the world. This post describes step by step installation of Oracle Database 11g Release 2 32bit on CentOS 6.4 32bit. The installation steps should not be vary on most of the Red Hat based Linux distributions.

Once the database systems are in place (Oracle 11gR2 and SQL Server 2008 for this example), it becomes a fairly simple matter (well, almost) of following instructions regarding the DG4ODBC installation and configuration. There are three sources of information on how to configure Oracle to access SQL Server, and you can pick and choose among them to get the final answer. The sources include the instructions in the guide, plus two documents on My Oracle Support:

Note: When you get to the actual installation of Gateways, the OUI never asks for the port number (despite what the guide shows), so what you do need is the server name, instance name, and a database name. Also, the installer never starts the Net Configuration Assistant (as shown in the documentation).

The other configuration options can be tested in your environment (encryption and multiple databases) as needed. Now you have a complete, from start to finish, example of how to access SQL Server from Oracle.
